Tom Mallon Resonate Testing Ltd, Managing Director is attending an invitation only trade mission to Collins Aerospace in Charlotte NC.

It is a fabulous occasion to understand the opportunity that Collins represents and share Resonate Testing Ltd capabilities and innovative approach to aerospace testing.

Tom congratulated the UK’s Department of International Trade (DIT) and Collins Aerospace for organizing and hosting the event.  The opportunity for specialized, face to face meeting are much appreciated by the SME community.

The Nacelle Group are delighted to expand our international reach and support to Southern Irish and European customers in the creation of our new sales and marketing office in Dundalk, Republic of Ireland. Resonate Testing Ireland Ltd (a wholly owned subsidiary of The Nacelle Group) will look to target further opportunities with the Irish technology sector and the wider European market. It provides further testimony that The Nacelle Group is constantly looking to support new markets, new customers, in new industries.

We have selected The Business Centre, Blackthorn Business Park Coe’s Rd Dundalk, Co Louth, Ireland, A91 KR59 as our base of operations, and from there increased business development and service offerings will be made available.

Resonate Testing Ltd has received support from Invest NI under the European Union’s Investment for Growth and Jobs Program 2014-2020 for an R&D project, Industrial Research with the specific aim of acquiring new knowledge and learning new processes and techniques in a number of enabling technologies, with a view to achieving qualification and verification of aerospace and other high tech components’.

We were delighted to welcome Étienne Robert (Assistant Professor), Jean Langot (PhD Student) and Tanja Pelzmann (PhD Student) from École Polytechnique de Montréal who visited our Newry facilities to view our capabilities and discuss fire testing. Newry based Resonate Testing was recently awarded a Highly Commended prize at the 2018 Business Eye awards for Small Businesses. The specialist testing company won the award in the ‘Innovative Business of the Year’ category for its use of complex techniques for fire testing advanced aircraft components.

The company which was launched 2 years ago is located off the Chancellors Road and includes facilities to conduct Vibration and Thermal testing, as well as Fire testing.

Picking up the award at the Gala Dinner at the Crowne Plaza Belfast, Test House Manager Mary Kelly said “We are delighted to have been recognised for the way our team applies Innovation in testing our customers products. We focus on using engineering techniques to assess the safety and performance of products used across multiple industries including aviation, automotive, meditech and electronics.”

Attending from Resonate were Michael Thompson, Mary Kelly, Tom Mallon and Mike Hudson, who enjoyed the Gala dinner and a night of entertainment at the Crowne Plaza Belfast.

Resonate will be presenting to the National Physics Laboratory in a weeks time!

Mary Kelly will be presenting on thermocouple use for aircraft powerplant testing in the field of combustion thermometry.
