Quality and Test Engineer - We Are Hiring

Resonate Testing delivers high quality environmental, mechanical, fire, battery and bespoke testing for industries where reliability and safety are critical.

Our multi-disciplinary facility supports clients across a wide range of sectors such as aerospace, mechanical, electrical, space, automotive, medical and industrial sectors.

Resonate Testing are seeking a proactive, detail-oriented Quality and Test Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you will lead the development, implementation and ongoing maintenance of our quality management systems, ensuring compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 17025, and other relevant standards.

You will play a key role in both quality assurance and hands-on test engineering activities, acting as the primary engineer for related enquiries and contracts. While prior experience in testing is beneficial, full training will be provided for candidates with a strong interest in developing these skills.

This is a critical position that contributes directly to operational excellence, customer confidence, and the company’s accredited testing capabilities.

Job Title: Quality and Test Engineer

Start date: ASAP

Salary Range: £30,000 – £36,000 per annum (plus performance-based bonus)

Hours: 40 per week

Reporting To: Managing Director

The successful candidate will be asked to complete an AccessNI check

Responsibilities:

• Maintain ISO 9001 certification and ISO 17025 accreditation.
• Ensure ISTA Certified Test Lab status.
• Serve as the main contact for accreditation/certification bodies during audits and assessments.
• Conduct and coordinate internal audits across all company processes and testing activities.
• Coordinate the Management Review process and maintain controlled documentation.
• Monitor corrective actions and explore new opportunities for certifications and accreditations.
• Develop, implement, and maintain testing processes in allocated fields. Training can be provided for testing for candidates with a strong interest in these areas.
• Evaluate test enquiries and compile quotations.
• Plan and support test preparation and execution.
• Compile and deliver test reports as required.
• Liaise with customers and suppliers on quality-related issues.
• Act as the key contact for customer quality queries, assessments, and audit visits
• Ensure supplier quality performance is maintained and reviewed.
• Serve as the technical contact for customer tests in allocated fields.

Qualifications & Experience:

• A level 3 qualification in engineering or a relevant STEM subject (or equivalent training/experience).
• At least 3 years’ experience in quality assurance.
• Awareness of testing processes and activities.
• Experience in quality management within a laboratory environment.
• Experience in testing.
• Familiarity with ISO 17025 and ISO 9001 management systems or similar standards (desirable).
