Resonate Testing is supporting the Belfast Space Camp this Summer (25th July to 5th August 2016). The Space Camp is coordinated by the Belfast Metropolitan College and seeks to engage people over 17 years of age on the stratospheric topic of Space Travel.

As part of the Space Camp, we will be hosting the attendees at our facility for one of the days and running a vibration testing competition.

Resonate Testing attended the Sentinus Young Innovator's Day yesterday to further support young people in STEM. The Sentinus Young Innovator's Day, incorporating the Big Bang Northern Ireland, is one of the largest events of its kind in the UK and aims to promote interest and engagement in the STEM subjects for all age groups.

We also attended the event to showcase our 'Shake, Rattle and Roll' competition to schools and colleges around the country. The event was a great success with around 20 schools/colleges expressing an interest in the competition.

The Shake, Rattle and Roll challenge is an exciting competition to engage students from Northern Ireland schools and colleges, providing a practical challenge to drive interest and understanding in STEM subjects and engineering. The challenge will inform students on the importance of testing in product development for structural integrity issues such as vibration, acoustics and strength.

The Challenge involves students building a simple structure (based on competition rules), we then vibrate each structure using our Shaker Table for up to 15 minutes to see how long it survives the vibration testing - the longest wins!

We are very happy to welcome deputy First Minister, Martin McGuinness MLA, to Resonate Testing in Newry today to officially open our facilities on behalf of the Northern Ireland Executive Office!

Today is a very special milestone for Resonate Testing Limited! We are officially opening our facilities in Newry.

Throughout the day there will be an opening ceremony with some very esteemed guests and a tour of the facilities to see what we've worked so hard to create.

A delegation from Queen’s University Belfast, School of Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering, visited the Resonate Testing facilities today.

We enjoyed showing the delegation the capabilities we offer at Resonate Testing and hope they enjoyed their visit.

Our General Manager, Michael Thompson, was delighted to welcome a delegation from the UK Space Agency to Resonate Testing's new facility in Newry today.

Resonate Testing Limited are delighted to announce that we will be hosting a Recruitment Night at our new premises on Thursday 2nd June 2016 from 6pm.

Our new facility is located at Bridge Technology Park, Carnagat Lane, Newry and offers high quality Vibration and Environmental Testing Services to industry.

Whilst at the ADSS Seattle Exhibition, The Nacelle Group General Manager, Michael Thompson, was given a very enjoyable and unique tour with the Northern Ireland Aerospace Delegation around the Boeing Everett facility in Seattle, Washington..

Michael had this to say about his incredible experience:

'As part of the Invest NI delegation in Seattle, we had the opportunity to take a VIP tour of Boeing’s Everett factory. It’s hard to put into words the scale of the Boeing operation – as the tour guide described it the main production building is the same floor space as Disneyland, Florida, and contains the busiest coffee shop in the State. With 6 production lines including the 747 Jumbo Jet, 777 and the 787 Dreamliner, this place is big. A fantastic tour and an incredible insight into the huge logistical challenges in assembling modern aircraft.'

During the past week, our General Manager, Michael Thompson, was exhibiting on behalf of The Nacelle Group at the Aerospace & Defence Supplier Summit (ADSS) being held in Seattle, USA.

Michael had this to say about the event:

'Now that we have a functional facility we are starting to increase our marketing plans. During the month I travelled to the US to meet with existing NSC clients to update them on our capabilities at Resonate. We also made our first trip to Seattle, home of Boeing. The ADSS show took place at the Washington State Convention centre with several hundred exhibitors including our first outing as the Nacelle Group. Our first time attending this show and after 22 meetings in 2 days we were delighted with the new'
